Darren Till seems to feel no pressure about his next fight against “Cowboy” Donald Cerrone in Gdansk at UFC Fight Night 118.

Darren Till (15-0-1) is coming from a solid performance against Bojan Velickovic (15-5-1). He is a very young, tough and talented fighter from Liverpool. Next time Till will step into the Octagon, he will face Donald Cerrone (32-9), who has lost two of his last three bouts.

4once.it has reached Till and managed to ask him a few questions.

Hello Mr. Till, when did you take on mixed martial arts?

I took on mixed martial arts when I was 17 years of age. I discovered this sport just by watching UFC on television as a young boy. I already had experience with combat sports, I have done muay thai since I was about 12. When I first started I knew I was gonna make a career, when I was a kid I just wanted to be a fighter and a champion.

Why did you move to Brazil back in 2013?

I moved there just for better training, some jiu jitsu training and some wrestling. I stayed there for 4 years. I also wanted to train in another country in the world and make experience. I’m also interested in Brazil’s politics, I support this guy who will run for presidency in 2018, Bolsonaro. I am not involved in politics, but I like reading and I like reading about politics.

Were you surprised that your last opponent didn’t go KO?

I was a bit surprised and no, because he is a very tough guy, I respect him for that. I thought I could knock him out, but he took a lot of shots very well and he was very fit and clever, so a lot of respect to him.

Are you feeling the pressure of being in the main event for the first time?

No, I don’t feel pressure. If you feel pressure, you should stop fighting. I don’t feel pressure, pressure is for the weak, I’m not weak. I don’t care about Donald Cerrone, f**k Donald Cerrone.

Have you changed anything in your camp for the next fight?

No, I don’t need to change anything. When you are the best, you don’t give a f**k about anyone. My ambition is to wipe that division out, they are all f**king bums. I am the best fighter in the welterweight division.

Would you like to say something to your next opponent?

Come prepared Donald, I know you don’t know who I am, but come prepared. I will smack your face all over the canvas. It’s time to the young guy to come up. Five weeks is my time, not your time.
